hi wish I had Good news on that front Folkz. But I don’t. Sunday was my 1st shift, I awoke to Painful Tightness in my back & slept MOST of the day. I decided I would wore my Back Brace to work. The tightness increased as the shift Flew by, it was only 2 1/2 hours after all. The Pain Increased as well. I made it through & even drove over to Visit my buddy Merf, was there all of 20 Minutes & I HAD TO leave. Soon as I walked through the door @ Home I Removed the back brace & was overcome by Instant Relief!! So then Tuesday, we have the Last of the Homemade Lasagna for dinner before I go to work. Well 45 Minutes Before I am to Leave for work, I get hit with Nausea!! I end up Losing all of my Dinner & am still well into Yakking & Just feeling Nauseas when the time for me to Leave for work comes. I am still Dizzy, my stomach is still not done Yakking & damn it, the room won’t stop spinning Counter Clock wise. I have no choice but to Call In Sick for my 2nd Shift! Well, @ least I didn’t strain my Back doing all the Yakking, I did Wrench my neck Pretty good. I still feel *OFF* Today,but FEEL WAY Better!! I sure hope tomorrow goes Better!! [,’]

hi, you read that right. I go back June 1st, which will be the start of a 6 week Gradual Return To Work Program. HEY! I am More than ready to go back. We will start me off with a Couple of 2 Hour shifts a Week, then increase the hours/shifts Weekly till I am back to my regular Hours/Shifts!! I’m just gonna take my Time & Listen to what my Body sez. hi, yes indeed Folkz. I am on Facebook . . . & if it wasn’t for Facebook, Friendz from my Calgary Daze/Halifax Work Palz wouldn’t have been able to get in touch with me. Unbelieveable to chat with someone after about 26 Years!! Man talk about excited!! I Woke Min up from a Dead Sleep cuz I was talking So LOUD Ha! ha! hi, well I hate to say it but, I did not get a pic or sound-bite from Stans Bash. It was a Good one too. Ran into a Guy we haven’t seen in YEARS! Back when we used to live in downtown Halifax, he used to Busk & we’d see him on a Daily Basis. That is until he made enough cash to move to the Country, where he’s been until Stans Bash. We got to do a Few Tunes & I gotta say . . . that man can WAIL FOLKZ! The Turn-out was Sparse, but what we lacked in numbers, we more than made up for in Enthusiasm! hi, our Buddy Stan is having his Annual End Of Winter Bash. He has his Band Playing every year & in between sets, I & Other Players get to get up & Play! We have a Great time & some of the Tunes are Simply Magic to hear/play. Been Far Too long since I played Live last. hi, Glen & I went to Mikes Home In Tantallon. A Beautiful Home Indeed!! The Acoustics were Amazing & The Vibe was Sooo Mellow. As a Result, our Music was Sooo Laid-Back, we ended up playing Stuff we Normally wouldn’t have & from the 1st Note we all Clicked. We’re Definitely gonna get together & Record some stuff for our own Consumption, plus we’d like to get it together to Rent a Hall & Invite Everyone to Wail with us. hi, yep sad to say but I Had to quit the Band I have been Rehearsing with for the last Coupla’ Monthz or so. We were down to Guitar-Drums-Bass & Vocals. We sounded Quite Awesome if I do say so myself. But their Main Agenda was to get On The Road. There was talk of a 2-6 Month European Tour opening for Jamie Alcourt??!! Guess he’s Quite Big there & word is- They LOVE the Bluez Too!! BUT I have Health Issues to consider & Realistically, I’m just not in Road Worthy Shape Folkz ha ha!! Besides, I make $20.00/hr @ Costco & we Are Still Paying to OWN Our HOME. Damn Peter X Anthony the Guitar Slinger that’s in the Band can WAIL Folkz . . . as a matter of fact, he used to play in The White. A Led Zeppelin Cover Band that RAWKED!! Blew my mind to see/hear him Playing with Me the Few times we did Play Together. I’d LOVE to have done some Harder Stuff with him. Cuz he KILLED those Bluez Covers we were doing ha ha. hi, we’ve had 4 Rehearsals so far & are down to just 2 Original Members. Rafe [John-Vocals] & myself -[Bass] We Auditioned 3 drummers, 4 Guitar Players. This Sunday, we will have one Drummer & 2 Guitar Players Return. Last Sunday was an Uplifting/Productive Day. Had my Buddy Glen Sit- in with us & we came up with an Interesting Rendition of Marley’s - No Woman, No Cry. Glen was asked to play something with a Reggae Feel to it. After a bit of Noodling around he came into the Marley Groove & we all jumped in. By the end of the tune, it was Wailing fersure . . . We’re Definitely in a Bluez Phase @ this point. We can get a Great Swing Feel as well. Our version of Claptons- Crossroads is a cooker as well. An Infectious Flip-Flop&Fly makes you want to Get Down & Boogie. We’re shooting to Learn 40 Songs & Make them Our Own. So Far So Good. [,’]

hi, Happy New Years to all!! Well here I sit with just over an hour to go Before New Years & I am Partying by myself. I already had it in my head today that Merf was gonna be a no show. I did however go through the Effort to put out Tunes, Food/Snacks, Movies & Booze in case I was Wrong. But Lo & Behold, he called & said he just Couldn’t do it cuz the Weather/Roads are just too Bad for walking & he don’t Believe in Cabs. I Offered to pay Cab-Fare, but as he said, he Has the Cash, he just don’t believe in Taking Cabs. J&P emailed to say they aint coming either, Min is of course @ work. It’s her Turn this Year to Work New Years . . . Glen is working Over-Time till 3AM & I figure if Chewoo aint here by now, she aint comin either. But never say never eH? @ Least I aint Lonely, got some Live Cactus Wailing in the Living-Room, a Healthy Rye/ginger on the Go & Some fine herbz to Boot! hi Merry Christmas Folkz!! Hope Santa acted Accordingly for you all ha ha! Santa did pretty good by me this year. 2 Sets of Bass Strings sez it all. I was in Dire need of new ones. What with Joining a New Band & all. Only had 2 practices so far, but I Really Like what I’ve heard fersure!! But here I am & ya know, except for Screwing up my Back, I Feel Fantastic. I have an Audition on Saturday. The Guyz are a Rock Band that wants to incorporate some Bluez as well as a Shuffle in Duties as the Bass Player goes to Rhythm Guitar. I just have to bring my Bass as there is Gear there, oh & it’s only a block & a half away from here. That’d be a Great BornDay Gift eH? Years Later when you recall that Moment, you neglect to include it was a Dream & you pass it off as a Memory, which you Regale your Pals with. Or perhaps you are @ a Buddies place Rawkin Out when Suddenly it Occurs to you that this Happened before, you immediately think it’s Deja` Vu , but nope, it was a Dream you Had, you just don’t Recall Having it. hi, when you are having a chat with friends, do you stick to what you believe in when someone questions it? Or what about if there are people there you don’t know & they are asking the questions? For some people it’s hard to Asscertain themselves. They just don’t have Confidence or they may have Other Issues, be it emotional, physical, psychological or whatever. IF you know something to be true, then you should be able to stand by it. You should also be able to be Open to New Ideas. But don’t jump Horse in the middle of the Creek so to speak, just cuz there is one to jump to. You SEE things differently than Anyone else, you see through Your Eyes & it filters down through to your Mind. The filters that it goes through, make up your Perspective. I’m not saying it’s the right perspective, by no means. But if it Really is something you believe, then Stand up for it & be Prepared to have Others Give theirs, keep in mind that is thier perspective & unless it makes sense to you, more than yours did, well Stand firm!! hi,with all the press that the Naughty 4 have had lately, do you care? I mean those Gals-Lyndsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears & Nicole Ritchie are All going through what we all do & did when we were that age. It just so happens that they are doing it in front of the whole world to see. Now granted, when you involve Kids in the mix so to speak, well that takes it to another whole level. When you have Parental Responsibilities, hey you have to step up Right? Right! Beyond the wrecking of cars, DUI’s ect . . . As long as they only hurt themselves, let them Rip. Eventually they will hit bottom & either stay there or they will clean themselves up. Partying as a Life style does get Old. Just ask some of the Ageing Rockers, If they can remember!! ha ha Give them some space to do waht they gotta do. But if they step outta line, then they should pay the Price as anyone else would. hi, recently I’ve found myself with far too much time spent by myself, Again. Seems as though I get *Like This* around this time every year?? Oh & of course, around or just after Christmas too. hi, yeah even though this is July 5th & somewhat Belated . . . HAPPY CANADA DAY 07 FOLKZ!! Had Us a Fantastic time out @ J&P’z Snake Awareness Day/Canada Day Blast 07!! A small Local Parade began our Day, then Off To The Snake Awareness Day in New Germany near the New Firehall. Tents with a Variety of Foods,Drinks & Activities were lined- up on either side of the Street for about One City block or so. Included & the Highlight was The J&P Serpent Garden Tent. It was Filled with all sorts of Fun. Snakes mostly, but an Array of Critters as well & Very Curious-Happy Kids of All ages. Later that eve we Watched an Incredible Fireworks Display that Kicked ANY Halifax Display I’ve seen. Hard to believe such a small town with such a Corny Parade could pull this Brilliant & Expensive Show Off!!??! After the Fireworks we headed Back to J&P’z where we had a Jam with Great People/Food/Herbz/Drinkz & Live Music. Complete with a P.A. System,Drums, Guitar-Vocals, Bass & Percussion . . . Fantastic!!! Thankz Goes to the Bro-Sis team of Cheryl &*T Man* Trevor had a blast Right on!! Thankz 2 ALL that were there what a Bunch I TELL YA Folkz!! Wot a Good Time we All had. hi, I had my surgery last wednesday, Yesterday,@ around 12:30-ish PM. I was Released from the Recovery Room @ around 4:30PM to Heal @ my Own Pace. Where I’ve been doing just Great thank you very much ha ha! Yep, back to work tomorrow. Today was just Wandering around the house in my House Coat, unshaved & unkempt. Felt Great!! I watched a Yes Concert I had downloaded to start my day. Then got into the Tunes I had downloaded as well. Got a Lot of Practice time in!! Even with my Mallet finger, which except for the Smell-Yuk!! has pretty much become a part of my hand. I’m Really looking forward to playing with Cheryl @ J&P’s Bash!! Gonna feel so Good to play Live again!! Now that the Butt thang is over, Onward & Upward eH Folkz??!! [.’]
